so i haven't been here in a while. mostly update and stuff on myspace. haven't had the time to keep up with both. the baby and garden is keeping me really busy right now. just enjoying summer and taking care of the boy. i'll post new pictures soon. he's so freaking cute.

so my father had surgery this week to have his prostate and one of his lymphnodes taken out. I don't pray...but I pray that the biopsy on his lymphnode comes out negative. The first visit he told us that it was just really small, so no worries, but now the story has changed when he went to see another doctor he said it was stage 4. Fucking cancer...seen to many people go thru it or have their loved ones....just fucking horrible disease and makes me so sad and angry.
in other topics, i'll have my little sis with me next week during spring break. she's 12 so im trying to think of fun cheap stuff to do with her and an infant. i heard something about "baby day" at the movies where you can bring your baby and be loud and shit. i really want to go to the zoo but it doesn't look like we can until possibly friday.
we plan to go to underworld too saturday night. woohoo! nights out of any kind are a treat now. last night we had nick's sister's wedding, i had a whole two glasses of pinot grigio and danced to justin timerlake's bringing sexy back. and had just too much fun for that little bit of excitement. i found that i get winded dancing to one or two songs and now feeling so out of shape even though i've been stroller walking and jogging for an hour five days a week for a month now. blah. feels like getting back to pre-baby body is taking forever.

8:50 pm - LAST DAY

So yesterday was officially my last day of employment. Which feeling sad about it is kinda silly since I haven't worked, but been on the payroll, since the end of December. I'm really going to miss the group, it was such a great mix of people to work with.
This is really going to be strange, I have worked and have always had a job since I was 15 years old. But being home with our baby right now and being able to raise him instead of someone else - I wouldn't trade all the fucking money in the world for that.
I am looking forward to going back to school in about a year and am excited about my career change. I was getting really tired and burnt out with the corporate rat race. Teaching will definetly be better hours and will give me much more time off.
My life has totally changed overnight - literally. And it's a good thing.

9:07 am - Finally!

Have a chance to post here. I have the baby in a carrier strapped to the front of me. It's been a really...god I can't even describe...tough, wonderful, amazing, exhausting, frustrating, wouldn't trade it for the world....month. The little alexander beetle is a month old already! There really hasn't been time for anything other than taking care of the baby. It's so hard to get even a second of time to do anything. When he is napping I have to sleep too or the exhaustion just gets too bad. For the last several weeks I've slept at the most in 3 hour increments. I"ve gotten used to it now. I've finally gotten the hang of breastfeeding after majorly sore, cracked, bleeding and scabby nipples. I can finally feed the child without being in horrible pain.
He is so cute! I'll have to update and post more pictures when I get a chance. We're loving him being so little and cute. But I can't wait until he's a little bigger so we can get out of the house more. He has to eat every two to three hours (more like every two) and it's hard to go out when your breastfeeding. He can already hold his head up and he's making cooing sounds and is starting to smile at you!

feeling right now. only 4 more weeks to go... i need to have some maternity photography taken soon.
we have everything just about ready for our little cuddly boy! jsut need to finish packing the bags and get the last of the nursing wear. hehe. nursing clothing is a bit of a drastic change here.
would any of you girlies be up for dinner this saturday night? i'm thinking of coming down to socialize for a bit.

Me with my huge, and growing bigger!, belly at work after babyshower #3 last week
I'll be 8 1/2 months along this week and starting to be miserable! All my organs feel squished, I can't sleep cause I have to pee every hour and I have restless leg syndrome. I can't bend or move fast at all! Everything is more difficult.

So this evening we're going to register and tour the new birthing/women's center floor at Tomball Hospital where I'm going to deliver the baby. It's supposed to be super nice and just in time! Also going to a breastfeeding class.
